Concrete dam construction affected by many factors, natural environment, the distinct structure of the concrete dam, concrete supply, dam pouring warehousing tools, etc., and there is a complex relationship between space and time constraints of these factors make Concrete dam construction usually delivered within an uncertain environment. Traditional deterministic methods cannot model and manage the level of uncertainty involved in Concrete dam construction projects. Discrete event simulation(DES), which explicitly incorporates uncertainty, has been used as an effective approach in Concrete dam construction simulation. While DES has not been widely adopted by the construction industry. One of the reason for this lack of implementation is the amount of manual work needed of modeling. In particular, when there are changes to logical relationships, resource allocation or design, the simulation model has to be updated and re-formalized to accommodate the new conditions. Small changes to the input of the simulation model often lead to extensive manual modifications. This process is time-consuming, error-prone and restricts the application of DES to the construction industry.Aimed at these problems, the thesis makes a deep study on the information expression issues of simulation model and the general problem of simulation model, the main contents and achievements of the study include:(1) In this study, a concrete dam BIM and DES framework is proposed that combining with the current status of BIM technology, detailed analysis of the concrete dam BIM simulation model constructed in the relevant information and its relationship, Concrete dam BIM information to simulation model conversion and extract intelligently, and integrated management of the information extracted from the concrete dam BIM using database management system. To study the theoretical approach can solve the problem of information express the simulation model to a certain extent, is conducive to study the progress of the dam construction engineering staff to promote the use of computer simulation methods to determine the construction design plan.(2) For the shortage of the current concrete dam construction simulation system, based on the system requirements analysis, developed concrete dam construction process simulation systems which using the pouring concrete dam intelligent simulation modeling techniques based on BIM. The system improves the flexibility and versatility of concrete dam construction simulation systems, more intuitive image will help project managers apply.(3) A RCC dam construction simulation were studied by the concrete dam construction process simulation system. Through simulation program for basic computing, demonstrates the process of using the system, and achieved reasonable results also show the applicability and simplicity of the system. The basic scheme of the simulation results are analyzed, the obtained rules of dam pouring has certain guiding significance for the dam construction program placement.
