People still couldn't forecast the earthquake accurately by now.However,through the practical analysis method of earthquake risk management,people have the ability to assess the possibility of the earthquake risk index,calculate the earthquake resistance of building,and forecast the chances of one place where may happen a variety of seismic intensity earthquake in the future.The basic principles and design ideas of the earthquake prevention and disaster mitigation are not completely alike for different structures buildings.How to manage the risk management and how to improve the bearing capacity of buildings effectively in the small and medium-sized cities during an earthquake disaster are of great significance for the urban security and stability and the social sustainable development in the future.This paper,is based on the summary of building anti-seismic technology and disaster prevention and mitigation design both home and abroad,and in view of the city construction and the construction characteristic of Hengshui City,put forward suggestions to the main points of seismic design,seismic design and economy of small and medium-sized cities,analyze the seismic risk management of small and medium-sized cities,and investigate the risk of city from the contents and steps of seismic risk management in small and medium-sized cities systematically.Finally,taking Hengshui city as an example,the earthquake resistant buildings is analyzed and some ideas and policy suggestions were put forward.
