In our country, the automation technology of commercial car is far less than the passenger car, use the former can reduce workload greatly and improve the comfort and safety when driving, and achieve the purpose of energy saving and emission reduction. It is the future development trend of commercial car. Based on the EPS lightweight transmission system which development by Dalian nature vehicle electronic equipment Co., Ltd, and combine with a new electrical and pneumatic control clutch actuator, this paper research on the engaging law of automatic clutch systematic, and formulate feasible joint control strategy, and use the software to simulation analysis, and development and design the control system of automatic clutch which include hardware structure and software flow.After introducing the control strategy and the structure of electrical and pneumatic control clutch, the main work of this paper is as follows. Firstly, the dynamic model of the transmission system is established to describe the process of power transmission. According to the engine speed, torque and throttle opening, establish mathematical model and fitting the curve. The parameters of the diaphragm spring are introduced in detail, and derive formula between the small end displacement and the big end pressure, so, we can get the relationship between the clutch actuator and mathematical model. Then, analysis the evaluation index of the automatic clutch control, and set up the fuzzy controllers for starting intention and joint speed. Determine the clutch control strategy in the engagement process which is fast-slow-fast, and calculate max engagement speed. Use software to establish the simulation model and analysis. Finally, the work is design and develops the electronic control system of the automatic clutch. In the hardware part, we finish component selection, schematic drawing, PCB board design and welding work. The software structure of the whole control process is divided into three layers, the structure and the process of each layer are introduced in detail. According to the speed and torque find the position of half coupling point and the synchronization point. Solve the problems which are the acceleration and deceleration of stepper motor and control the cylinder pressure through solenoid valve. Increase two modules of vehicle self-testing and clutch wear self-checking. The replacement mechanism of the diaphragm spring is designed and does the separation and engagement experiments.
