Microcomputer protection device is an important device to guarantee the safe and reliable operation of the electric power system, it has been occupies an important position in the electric power production activities. With the development and perfection of microcomputer relay protection technology, our country puts a large number of protection devices in use in power system application field. Therefore, the professional training and technical quality promotion for those people who work for the maintenance of electric power system and electric power college students, also put forward higher request. To meet this requirement, this paper designed a multi-functional microcomputer protection experiment device based on STM32F407, the device offers a variety of optional function of microcomputer protection, under the specific function, it can achieve targeted teaching and training in microcomputer protection principle and operation of the device.In this paper, after consult the related literature, then refer to the existing realization of the microcomputer protection device, based on the TQWB-type IV multi-function microcomputer relay protection experimental device,put forward a experimental device which core protection CPU is STM32F407 chip, cooperate with DSP monitor plug-ins, form a clear hierarchy structure teaching experimental device that can meet the demand of microcomputer protection electrical principle. The device adopts the plug-in type structure, composed of the CPU plug-in, monitoring and human-computer interaction plugin, power plugin.Compared with the traditional protection device, it abandoned the alternating current and voltage conversion acquisition plugin and input-output plugin on structure, which simplify the work of hardware design. The acquisition of Analog data which from alternating current/voltage and switching signal complete by the RTU (Remote Terminal Unit, Remote Terminal Unit) equipment which is under the same experimental system. After primary acquisition data processes by the RTU device, the secondary data will send to the experiment protection device through the communication way of RS485 serial port in Modbus protocol framework. Meanwhile, the RTU device also need to response the protection action signals from experiment protection device to achieve remote control function, cooperate to complete the experimental protection function. In addition, the protection device expanded the Ethernet communication interface, to adapt to the development trend of network communication in the intelligent substation technology. It provides the interface support of the application of IEC 61850 specification while the transplantation work of LwIP protocol stack complete in the experiment protection device. In terms of monitoring and human-computer interaction, the experiment protection device display interface is simple, easy to operate, the data displayed in the screen and the indicator light offer the real-time feedback information while the experimental process, send intuitive effective data message to experiment trained personnel, help to better complete the teaching training purpose.Microcomputer protection device based on STM32F407 well adapted to the teaching demand of electric power system, its structure design is reasonable, reliable operation, meet the need of various teaching and training function for those who work in electric power system and the students in the related electric power colleges,and the device has a certain application value.
