China's automobile industry has become the world's major automobile production and consumption after 50 years of construction and growth. In particular, with the rise and rapid development of own-brand cars, whether the designation with ergonomics or not has become an important ingredient even influence the corporation's life and future. Modern automotive design focuses on people oriented, and safety, comfort, environmental protection, energy saving has always been the design theme and the goal went in for. Ergonomics layout design not only relates to the full use of the vehicle inner space, improves air comfort, safety, but will also affect the vehicle inside and outside sculpt, and further for the overall performance and commodity, so the ergonomics occupies an important position in automotive design and research process.In the Concept design stage, ergonomic evaluation is particularly important, and its main purpose is to discover problems about ergonomics, save design costs and time. At present, the new car concept design ergonomic evaluation has two complementary methods:the subjective evaluation and objective evaluation, the two types of evaluation should be combined, then it can comprehensively evaluate the ergonomics of the car. The article discussed and researched the cab ergonomic evaluation principle and the way to practice during the conceptual design phase.The paper applied the CATIA 3D design software's development functions which commonly used in engineering machinery industry, a test-bed model used in the concept design phase of the vehicle cab ergonomics evaluation system is set up, and apply ANSYS finite element analysis software to check and calculate the key components on the test-bed The system can accurately simulate the vehicle cab layout, then evaluate the vehicle comfort and if the layout is in reason according to human perception. With vehicle cab evaluation system, investigate the interaction between the car and driver, to validate and optimize the vehicle's ergonomics design. At the same time, the paper applied the Microsoft Visual Basic software to design the corresponding software of vehicle cab ergonomics evaluation test-bed, the software can record and process evaluation data, establish evaluation database, automatically output the data evaluation forms to facilitate of the use of the evaluation system. It is with great convenience and nice interface. Used with the vehicle cab ergonomics engineering evaluation test-bed, it can be used to highly improve efficiency and save evaluation time.Finally focused research on the method and content of a car concept design ergonomic evaluation, set up the corresponding evaluation system, discuss in detail and bring forward the vehicle cab ergonomics evaluation system's main application area and the methods, and analysis the rationality and practicability of the system. All the work proves that the system design can meet the design needs of ergonomic evaluation of the vehicle cab, achieve the evaluation purpose, and the system design is reasonable. The research provides a theoretical basis for the conceptual design phase of the vehicle cab ergonomics evaluation method, has important practical significance.
