Study On The University Library’s Facilities Planning Based On Service Process

At present, with the promotion of information technology, social environment,educational thinking of university, disciplinary development and many other factors, new construction, expansion, renovation of library presents an unprecedented boom. Due to the contemporary library has already taken on the characteristics of opening diversification intelligence humanization and ecologicalization, the university library’s facilities planning based on the integration and continuous of the information service process, the optimization of resource allocation, saving in construction spending and the satisfaction of readers’ various information needs have a far-reaching significance and impact in the sustainable development of our country university and library.This paper expounds the related theory of facilities planning and research present situation of library’s facilities planning, puts forward the idea of applis the facilities planning theory and method to the library’s facilities planning; This paper discusses the development trend of university library and the design ideas of library’s facilities planning; This paper analyzes the influence factors and the index parameters of library’s facilities planning, focusing on analyzing the rationality of the functional partition, the characteristics of the three flows(the reader flow,the book flow and the librarian flow), the lack of the current control indicators of library’s facilities planning; A summary of the multilayer facilities layout method and algorithm is presented.then applies the Systematic Layout Planning(SLP) method to the multi-floor facility layout of the university library, combines with the traditional method, designs reasonable solutions based on service process to meet the objective requirements of library’s facilities planning, using the objective function to selece the solution of maximum of departmental adjacencies; A summary of the research is presentedand the assumption of future work.
