21st century globalization is generally linked with the development of the global economy.Under the trend of globalization, development of economic, industrial, transportation and construction are constantly consuming Earth's valuable resources, and energy consumption is also growing. Building energy saving becomes an important measure to increase income and reduce expenditure. Office building energy conservation as an important part of energy-intensive buildings, has become a building energy efficiency a top priority.Zero-energy building is the construction industry's ultimate goal, but the current level to achieve zero energy consumption needs high investment and high levels of construction. Europe since 2010, and vigorously promoted the development of near-zero energy buildings, under the current technology, establish energy targets can be achieved. All EU Member States have responded, to establish indicators and norms. In China in 2005, the establishment of the passive low energy consumption of green building guidelines, aimed at the development of suitable near-zero energy building. At present, the passive construction and low energy buildings research stay at the residential level, for the high energy consumption of public buildings was less, not very full on cold regions research. Therefore, from the cold region climate features and common features of office buildings, and build office buildings through research based model and indicators and on established standards using Energy Plus energy simulation software for simulation analysis of office building, obtained in severe cold area of nearly zero energy consumption limits and achieving energy goals of building energy-saving system. Summarized existing technologies in energy consumption standards limit under the background of climatic conditions and extremely cold climates suitable selection combinations of energy-saving technologies. Finally, a practical near-zero-energy projects, to validate the design mode.The main conclusions are as follows:1) in severe cold area of nearly zero-energy office building energy consumption and saving-energy system parameters. Represents the city of Shenyang in extremely cold climates,for example, through the energy consumption of office building standard model and propose a suitable climatic conditions of near-zero-energy office building energy consumption limits and building envelope thermal performance.2) Office building in cold area of nearly zero energy design patterns and apply technology to validate selection. Location cold parts of the natural environment, economy of renewable energy utilization, and so on, establishing near-zero energy office building in cold area using integrated technology system selection.
