The Research And Design Of Operating Table Based On Ergonomics

Under the background of the improving medical level and a growing emphasis on operation environment, the design and the use of the opetating table is not optimistic in current situation. It failed to meet the treatment needs of physicians and patients. With the advancement of techno logy and cognitive level in the whole country, people should pay more attention to the doctor's efficient and comfortable operation, as well as the patient's physical and psychological emotional effect from the medical equipment. Applying the ergonomics to product design can improve the human-machine performance and it is an effective way to increase the affinity and market competitiveness of the product.There are two shortcomings in traditional ergonomic design:(1) Using two-dimensional human templates at the design stage and using physical prototype in the evaluation phase, instead of introducing computer-aided design and this result in the increase of the design time and cost; (2) Even though the introduction of computer-aided design, it does not consider ergonomics in the initial stages of the design but only in man-machine analysis and evaluation phase when the design is complete. When it fails to meet the human-machine performance, one needs to make large changes of the products. So this paper uses a design method base on ergonomic-prototype. It uses a virtual prototype which is easy to modify instead of the final product to do the ergonomic design and analysis, making the ergonomic theory throughout the product design process. The ergonomic-prototype is constructed base on the human body size and human working posture. It is a man-machine performance carrier, giving auxiliary reference to the designers and engineers.The operating table is designed based on the ergonomic-protopype design method. The main achievement include:(1) patient body is simplified based on the human body size standard, and patient body model is established; (2) The standardized treatment posture of the doctor is researched based on the standard working posture theory, and the best working posture is determined in CATIA simulation analysis; (3) the ergonomic-prototype of the operating table is constructed driving by the best working posture, and it is expressed in the DMU module of CATIA, thus completing its design of the work space. (4) Deepen design of the operating table structure and prototype assembly is made, and the final ergonomics simulation analysis is made to verify the human-machine performance of the product and also verify the feasibility of the design method used in this article.
