Vehicle ergonomics is an important branch of ergonomics. It is a necessary step for the vehicle cab design to do the man-machine engineering analysis. Ergonomics design method plays a very important role in improving the safety of the vehicle,the comfort of driver and visual field of driver. This paper takes a bus cab as the research object, aiming at solving the problems in the safety and comfort of the vehicle, and then man-machine engineering analysis and verification are done on the cab arrangement. The following is the main content of this paper:1) To analysis the research status of the ergonomics in vehicle design.2) To analyze the relevant standards about domestic and foreign vehicle design, to extract the ergonomic design criteria for the bus cab layout, to summarize the principles and requirements of the vehicle interior space design and interface interaction design, which provided the basis for the cab layout and panel layout. The general idea of the bus cab simulation model design was proposed.3) The tools eye oval and hand axial were summarized, which provided a theoretical basis and research tools for ergonomics analysis.4) The drivers’comfort operating area was analyzed according to the sitting plane job size. Put forward the improvement program of key arrangement, according to the priority order of the cab of a bus driver’s room layout and panel layout analysis. Then the optimization programme of bus cab design was put forward.5) Man-machine engineering analysis was done by Creo software, from the comfort, vision, space and accessibility and other aspects.Then the program were optimized.6) Verify the rationality of design on the man machine model.7) Base on the virtual and practical authentication, the genera law of the bus cab arrangement was summarized.In summary, the reasonableness of the cab arrangement was verified by the manikin model of Creo software, the overall quality of the bus was improved by the ergonomics analysis, as well as saving development costs.
