Computer Aided Ergonomics Design intends to investigate human figures andapply them to ergonomics analysis and design. A digitized 3D human body model andan analysis of its reach-space are important to ergonomic design, motion control ofhuman joint and collision detection of human model in virtual environment. But it isdifficult to describe realistic multi-joint human motion, so 3D human reach-space hasnot been applied to ergonomics design effectively. Based on the completely synthesizing the available research results, This paperconcentrates on Ergonomics Based 3D virtual human body model. First, a realistic 3Dhuman body model which integrates with anthropometric data and a method of 3DHuman Body modeling and deformation are researched. Secondly, a correspondingrealistic 3d multi-joint reach-space model with limited joint rotating angles is presented.Then, a motion editing and motion retargeting method which aims at motion capturedata is applied to a work motion simulation in this paper. Eventually, a example of aidedergonomics design by simulating view-space and reach-space is adopted to verify theeffectiveness of the proposed model and method. Experimental results demonstrate thatthe realistic model and motion simulate method can be built up with a little calculationand the result is fairly good by our methods.
