As the most important teaching space of the secondary schools, regular classrooms change with the concept of education and policy in requirements of both functional and space, which makes the architectural design of regular classrooms improved. Considering the educational philosophy, based on the research both at home and abroad, literature survey, case study and method of induction were contributed to the study. Based on the design cases of 10 secondary schools both at home and abroad, it was focused on the changes of organization, function and space in the regular classrooms. Then the research path from education philosophy to function requirements to space design was accomplished. As an important component of classroom space, furniture arrangement determines the area and shape of the classroom to the large degree. Several solutions were given to satisfy the demands. In addition, to measure area of the classroom, class size, functional modules and current specifications were taken into consideration.Internal facilities and atmosphere were included as well.
