| Under the background of intensifying globalization, to explore the localization of modern architecture has become a hot topic in construction industry in recent years. The localization of modern architecture material expression should be based on the connection of building materials’ properties and localization, to realize the expression of building materials’ local characteristics. The facade skin is the direct interface for the communication between architecture and surrounding environment, it is the most intuitive presentation of a building from the inside to the outside. Building skin not only hold the internal space, structure and human activities of the building, but also as a medium for the interaction between inside and outside space, which also showing building’s characteristics. With the development of modern architecture, many architects strive to break the conventional architectural design methods, no longer pursue form in the design of building skin, but based on the connection between building materials’ properties and localization, strive by building material’s innovative use and construction methods’ integration, to realize the innovation of architectural form. Combine the material local expression’s building skin’s research, now more and more cause the architects’ interests at home and abroad, especially favored by young architects. This paper is a detailed research and analysis of building skin combine with material localization expression, and emphasized on the high-level glass curtain wall building’s skin flexibility methods under cold climate. At the same time combine the engineering example: Jingzhong Huitong mansion, and summarize some experiences and lessons, to provide certain reference value for the further research of related projects. |
