Airport Carbon Emission(ACE), mainly generated by the operations of aircrafts, has important impacts on both greenhouse effect and atmospheric quality in the vicinity of airport. The research on computing methodology and reduction techniques of ACE is of great significance for reducing greenhouse gases and improving air quality around airports. The thesis reviews the research status in related field at home and abroad, and it is founded that the research of precise ACE calculation is still at the early stages, in particular for carbon reduction technologies. The sources of ACE are systematically analyzed. The fuel consumption model of aircraft is created based on BADA database.Using the ICAO's LTO Cycle as a basic description of aircraft movement in and around airport, the time parameters for takeoff and climb used in the LTO Cycle are optimized taking into account aircraft performance. Diffusion mechanism of aircraft carbon emissions is studied systematically and the computing methodologies of diffusion concentration are derived for the sources of high elevated and straight line segments and the concentrations are discussed in the condition of breeze and calms. Some technical measures and their effectiveness for ACE are given, including improving aircraft fuel efficiency, using biomass fuel and CDA flight procedures. With help of EDMS software, the total ACE and concentration(concentration contours) of multiple sources including aircraft were calculated and analyzed under the same condition of the terrain, weather, runway configurations and source distribution with the application background of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. The reduction effects of carbon emission and concentration were analyzed and compared with application of changing decent angle(CDA procedure), aircraft ground taxi time and mix separately and in combination, and the operability and validity were demonstrated by the results.
