Research On The Last Mile Matter Of Safety Management In Construction

All over the world, construction is one of the most hazardous industries due to its unique nature. The construction site is an important place where the safety accidents frequently occur. In recent years, although our country has basically established the construction safety management system which conform comparatively to the national condition, the construction site safety accidents still have occurred. That is because the low quality on-site construction personnel, management methods backward factors. Therefore, how to improve the management level of construction site safety, and how to reduce construction safety accidents, that is the realistic problem urgently to be solved in our country, which is of great significance.This thesis introduced the connotation of the last mile into the construction industry, and put forward the last mile of construction safety management, that is, the safety management of construction site. First, this thesis analyzed the last mile problem in all industry or field, and defined the Last Mile Matter(LMM)of the construction safety management, which is the embarrassing dilemma between the construction team whose "management functions play can't role", as most grass-roots of management layer, and the traditional management layer "cannot moments stay in site management”, during the building construction security management process. Then, using questionnaire investigation and statistical analysis, this thesis surveyed the participants' perspectives on safety factors, and identified the key safety factors, including clients, consultants, designers, contractors and supervisors. Results showed that there are “Human- Tool- Environment- Technology- Manage" five key factors which influence the construction's safety, and the statistics analysis indicated that, human factors is the most important factors, and workers are the most critical safety factor among them. Finally, on how to solve the last mile problem of the construction safety management, this thesis discussed the effect of “Human-Tool-Environment-Technology- Manage" on the last mile problem. For the construction team, this thesis put forward construction team safety management innovation mode, to strengthen and enhance the management capacity of the construction team, for the construction of the general practitioners.
