With opening up more low-altitude airspace in China, this policy has become the great opportunity of general aviation. With the development of general aviation, aircraft batteries of general aviation have become one of the focus of general aviation's maintenance. There exists a variety of aircraft batteries of general aviation, and methods of their charging and capacity test are different. Using proper methods can extend the battery life, improve the quality of battery's maintain, and promise safety of the flight. This paper has studied and analysed aircraft batteries of general aviation using commonly in China, conclude methods of their charging and capacity test. It also successfully design a charging and discharging analyzer of general aviation. The analyzer combines charging and capacity test functions. The main circuit of the system used modern power electronic technology. the circuit of the charging and discharging is designed through the simulation of switching power supply and electronic load. this paper designs a signal processing and sampling circuit which achieves the test of the battery voltage and the current of charging and discharging to improve the accuracy of the sampling. Taking C8051F020 as control chip, it can complete the friendly human-computer interaction and realize the aesthetics of instrument interface through chip serial communication and touch screen. Its operation is simple. It is convenient for users to check the battery information because the system also designs the function of data storage.Practices prove that function of the general aviation charge-discharge analyzer is also functional. It runs stable and has better value. It has high practical value and significance in filling the void area of general aviation battery maintenance work.
