Measuring complex battlefield environment comprehensively and evaluating the level of complexity of different electromagnetic environment can provide reference data for the adaptability test of seeker in a complex battlefield environment. It is an urgent problem to solve in the current weapon test and design that evaluating radar seeker ability to adapt in a complex battlefield environment. In this paper, aiming at the above situation and considering the lack of existing research, we propose a battlefield electromagnetic environment complexity assessment method and radar seeker adaptability assessment methods based on electronic warfare basic characteristics of radar seeker, then analysing operational effectiveness of radar seeker at the tactical level.The main content is divided into five parts:Firstly, background and significance of this research is described, and introducing the research status of assessment complex electromagnetic environment, development of radar seeker technology and evaluation of anti-jamming performance of radar seeker.Secondly, the basic principle of radar seeker and its target scene is analyzed, then the basic jamming patterns and the battlefield electromagnetic environment are modeled.Thirdly, the basic problem of classification of the electromagnetic environment complexity is discussed. The method of electromagnetic environment classification is introduced, which based on based on the possession of frequency domain, spatial domain and temporal domain. Aiming at the disavantages of existing methods, the multi-index ranking method based on matter-element model is proposed to determine the complexity of electromagnetic environment.Fourthly, evaluation index of radar seeker adaptability is analyzed, and a set of assessment index is put forward. The method of the original level analysis method is improved, making the evaluation process more reliable and more accurate. The evaluation method was validated using several sets of reference data for the inherent anti-jamming capability index index system.Lastly, electronic warfare operational effectiveness under different tactical anti-ship missiles conditions is analyzed. The probability of penetration in different conditions against anti-ship missiles is calculated witn the establishment of a seeker penetration against anti-ship model. Followed by the introduction of sensor networks for cooperative combat vessel formation trends, complex network theory of vessel formation sensor networks is applied, then anti-ship penetration effect of missiles is analysed.
