Today,with the rapid development of society,people increasingly depend on electricity,and the original power network no longer meet the requirements,leading to faster pace of power grid construction,so power grid planning is increasingly important.In the power network planning and designing,substation location as an important part of its location is reasonable,and is directly relating to the power system and power line path planning,economic investment,and operational reliability.Therefore,the study of substation location is of great significance.This paper mainly studies the location of substation planning,and puts forward the combination of GIS and BP neural network for substation location planning service,sets up substation evaluation model,and puts them into practical engineering to verify the feasibility of the method.The details are as follows:First,combining with the relevant research theory and the experts of the Ministry of Electric Power in-depth interviews,we summed up the substation site in the main consideration index factors,combining with thespecific quantification method and the content which should be considered in the actual project,we established substation evaluation index system.Secondly,after analyzing the shortcomings of the existing substation location method,the GIS(Geographic Information System) is proposed as the visualization analysis platform,and the service system of substation evaluation index system is set up.The BP neural network algorithm and neural network algorithm are introduced.So the neural network is introduced into the substation location to design a substation based on the BP neural network.Firstly,based on the BP neural network,the neural network is designed,Location evaluation model,through the State Grid to provide all the data of 10 substations,and select the required data for quantitative processing,in thematlab environment to establish the required neural network,and network learning training.Finally,taking a large-scale substation planning in Hunan Province as an example,this paper gives a comprehensive evaluation of the location evaluation method proposed in this paper,and analyzes the results in detail according to the actual situation and the indexes.It was proved that the method proposed in this paper has good results.in solving the problem of substation planning evaluation and has a strong practical application ability through the evaluation of the indicators of the substation site selection and the practical operation of the substation.
