As the “throat” of traffic flow conversion, the road intersection is burdened with collecting?turning and evacuating of traffic participants.Meanwhile it is the place where traffic accidents occur frequently. At present, the traffic violation monitoring is increasingly applied into signalized intersections of cities in our country. The traffic violation monitoring is commonly known as electric police, which is mainly composed of flashlight, camera, the red light detection module and vehicle detection module, and it is of great civilization, high transparency and fairness. The traffic violation monitoring plays a positive and effective role in normalizing drivers' behavior by recording illegal acts against traffic safety. From two aspects of the micro and macro, the paper analyzed the influence of traffic violation monitoring on drivers' physiology, psychology, and driver's behaviors with quantitative and qualitative analyses.Firstly,a survey has been conducted about the influence of traffic violation monitoring on drivers' psychologyand behaviors, such as “drive the green light”,“grab the green light”,“dash the green light”,mandatory lane changing, overspeed, including the attitude and views on traffic violation monitoring. Most people think traffic violation monitoring is beneficial to decreasing illegal acts against traffic safety.Secondly, according to the actual road test,6 subjects were studied experimentally using a test system including 3 parts,Mind Ware BioLab physiological index tester,HRV analysis system and other testing equipment,to acquire drivers' physiological data of three stages of before, during and after the signalized intersections. The paper applied the Paired-sample T test to test the physiological data and HRV analysis was carried out on the case.Through the method of video recording we collected some concrete data such as speed, acceleration and the located lane. The paper compared and analyzed the speed and driving behavior decisions of the two types of the intersections and the driving behavior decision models have been established using logistic regression. Finally,we collected some data, including “running the yellow”,“grab the green light”,mandatory lane changing and traffic conflict at signalized intersections using artificial counting method to understand whether the traffic violation monitoring makes a difference to drivers' behaviors and traffic safety level of signalized intersections.
