Demand Analysis And System Design Of Railway Express Freight Transportation

With the rapid development of the economy and e-commerce in China,the demand of the express transportation has grown rapidly over the past few years.At the same time,the freight volume of the multi-category,small quantities and high value-added cargo has also increased,although such goods require high speed and strict transportation condition.The promotion of transportation technologies and capability accompanied by the perfection of China's railway network provides the possibility to develop the express transportation on railway.It can not only satisfy the customer's need for the transportation of goods with high added value and strong timeliness,but also meet the requirements of freight reform on railway in China.That is significant for Chinese railway to adapt the development of economy and expand its market share.This dissertation will study the demand about the express transportation and production system on railway based on some related research subjects made by China Railway Corporation.It investigated the status quo and orientation of the fast freight transportation market in view of the relevant literature about the circumstance of express product all over the world as well as the existing problems in China.By analyzing the macro environment of express goods and determining the influencing factors,the dissertation,which considered the difference of regional development,the dissertation built the panel data model of the express delivery volume to forecast the express traffic volume of all provinces and regions in 2020.Because of the differences in regional development,the dissertation investigated the node importance of express transportation by using the complex network algorithm and selected the important city to plan for the whole country.On the basis of the calculation results of the railway express market share and the relevancy intensity of the cities,the dissertation determined the attraction intensity between cities.Then,the dissertation built the OD forecasting model according to the cargo flow between cities and obtained the traffic OD matrix of railway express cargo.At last,the dissertation designed the three dimensions of two products series and formed a total of 36 types of railway express new products.By building the railway express product system on the level of core products,formal products and extended products,the dissertation provided a reference on developing some new railway express freight products.
