Permanent Magnet Eddy Current Brake(PM-ECB)with the characteristic of sample-structure,brake-steadily and reliably,energy-conservation and environment-protection is one of the main types of eddy current brake models.While further development of PM-ECB is restricted as the complexity of concerned analytical calculation and difficulty for its control.3D analytical method for linear and rotary PM-ECB system and new control method for PM-ECB were come up with based on the analytical calculation math models to apply the technology PM-ECB in crane and automate crane brake.The scheme for crane PM-ECB was designed and dynamics analysis of brake was conducted to combine the PM-ECB with crane.Besides PM-ECB parameters and brake characteristics analysis were conducted.The specific works of paper as follows:(1)Analytical calculation method for linear PM-ECB was proposed based on electromagnets theory and therefore analytical calculation method for rotary PM-ECB based on all the works done.Finite element analysis results showed that the analytical calculation methods proposed achieving a high accuracy reached over 97%.(2)Based on the analytical calculation method of 3D magnet filed and PM-ECB,a effective and practical realizing method that adjusting brake force or torque by changing relative displacement and angle of permanent magnet array was proposed.Moreover,through finite element analysis,this method and large-was proved.And The simulation results show that the proposed model can achieve a wide range of braking force and braking torque regulation.(3)PM-ECB scheme for crane was design according to the structure characteristics,brake requirements of crane QD10-13.5 and Simulation analysis of magnetic field and electromagnetic force was conducted.Dynamic model of TDF swing angle was developed based on anti-rolling design and dynamics analysis for the trolley traveling mechanism when it was braked with a set rule of quadratic implicit function to assure the parameters design standards.(4)PM-ECB parameters of trolley traveling mechanism was designed based on the standards made before.Simulation analysis results proved the reasonability of parameter design and fitting for the standards.Under the parameters designed before,brake characteristics was analyzed to study the influence mechanisms of pendulum length,brake time,brake distance and initial brake velocity on relative angles and pal stance of permanent magnet arrays and brake power.Besides,the practicality of control method and reasonability of parameters design was proved.All of these are significant for the further research on PM-ECB of crane.In conclusion,modeling,scheme design,simulation analysis and brake characteristics analysis of crane PM-ECB were conducted.Results have reference values for the design of crane PM-ECB.Besides,it is of great significance to the atomization of crane brake control.
