Power system is the important part of the energy system in our country. The smart grid is the development trend of power grids at all levels, and it can realize the interaction between power grid with the customer. Electricity information collection system is the extreme ends of the smart grid, and is responsible for the leading edge of the grid with the customer communication. In order to adapt to the needs of the development of rural electric intelligent, satisfy the customer to the power supply ability, intelligent power supply and the new requirements of the power supply service, improve the rural electric smart distribution area of standardization, standardization construction level, according to "the national grid of Q/GDW 614-2011 intelligent low-voltage distribution box of the site to functional specifications and technical conditions "and " Q/GDW 615-2011 intelligent variable terminal specifications and technical conditions of the site", we developed this multi-functional distribution terminal. The terminal is the first choice equipment to monitor working condition of electric power enterprises and it is also an important means of demand side management.The terminal is a kind of based on ARM-CortexM4 STM32F4 single-chip microcomputer intelligent acquisition terminal. The chip has high operation speed and intelligent degree is high. Terminal uses Modbus protocol communication, and its communication patterns are RS485 module and remote communication module. It has a lot functions including detection of distribution transformer, protection of distribution transformer, detection of electricity information, detection of measuring total table checking, condition monitoring, load management, power quality management, safety protection, human-computer interaction. It is designed in terms of environmental conditions, and electromagnetic compatibility design, stable performance.This article elaborated architecture of the terminal’s hardware design and software design. It’s hardware include CPU core processing module, function module, power supply module, communication acquisition module, display module and defines the interface of each module. Software architecture includes communication port, protocol stack, the application module and logical device.Upon to the traditional function of the terminal, this terminal add some new functions. Due to adding the calculation of the power factors and reactive power, thus expand the function of input and output the reactive power equipment and design the remote communication and remote control function. This makes the function of the whole equipment more integration.
