Synchronization is an important part of the automobile gearbox,which has an important influence on the performance of the transmission shift.With the development of automobile industry,there are more strict requirements on noise control and operation comfort,in the overall development of a vehicle.There are problems of long synchronization time and secondary impact in currently used lock ring synchronizer when shifting.After years of development,the performance of the synchronizer with traditional symmetric structure has been verified,but the improvement on the performance of the transmission has been a bottleneck.Therefore,the innovative design and research on the components bonding tooth structure of the synchronizer,and the continuous optimize and improve on the performance of the synchronizer,so as reducing shift shock and synchronization time,has important significance in the performance improving of the transmission,even the vehicle.The use of synchronizer with asymmetrical tooth shaped structure can solve this problem effectively.Based on the related research at home and abroad,the synchronization process and locking process of the synchronizer were analyzed,and a lock ring type synchronizer structure with asymmetric teeth was given out,aiming at the two problems that need the synchronizer to solve.The non symmetrical tooth shaped lock ring synchronizer can greatly reduce the air travel in synchronization process,reduce the synchronization time,improving the shift speed,to avoid the occurrence of the secondary shock,reducing noise and improve the shift quality,improve the service life of the synchronizer.By changing the gear ring of the synchronizer and the joint gear set,two different kinds of lock ring type synchronization structures were designed.According to the design principle of the lock ring synchronizer,the design scheme of the lock ring type synchronizer shaped with asymmetrical tooth was confirmed,and also the size and related parameters of the main components of the structure were confirmed.Then the 3D model of various lock ring type synchronizers is built using 3D modeling software and then imported into the ADAMS software and established all the dynamics model of the lock ring type synchronizer.Finally,the relevant parameters and conditions of the dynamic models are defined,and completed the dynamic simulation.Through the comparative analysis of the simulation results,found that the lock ring synchronizer with asymmetric joint and equal bevel angle can reduce the synchronization time and secondary impact better.Through in-depth study of the main reason,the symmetrical center offset,obtained the best symmetry center offset range for the synchronization performance,which verifies the feasibility of asymmetric gear synchronizer structure.
