Because of increasing of economy and improving of standard in living, people demand to comfortable and healthy building environment is more and more urgent, and leads to sharp increase of building energy consumption. Professional men focus on the job of building energy consumption statistics and energy efficiency. Residential building is an important component of building, which belongs to civil architecture with public building. Compare to public building, although the function is unitary, residential building profoundly influenced by the action of residential and takes on randomicity. So it is hard to calculate detailed and field investigates.The National Natural Science Foundation project "Thoery and Method of Eastablishment of Residential Building Energy Consumption Quota Based on Comparison Method-Yunnan as a sample" as the basis to this paper, to stablish energy consumption limits of residential buildings in Kunming.To statistical and analysis the characteristics of building housing, demographics, ownership of household appliances,energy-conscious residents and residents lifestyle through questionnaires and energy consumption statistics in Kunming. Total energy consumption will be statisticsed in 2015, and the total energy consumption is divided into cooking consumption, hot water consumption, energy consumption of household appliances and lighting consumption. The results showed that the energy consumption of household appliances accounted for the major part of the energy consumption in the home, the cooking energy consumption is followed, lighting energy consumption is minimum.Using the statistical software analysis to analysis the factors affecting of energy consumption in Kunming based on the questionnaire survey and the energy consumption statistics. Correlation analysis results showed the factors affecting of total energy consumption are building area, total annual household income and family resident population, the factors affecting of cooking energy consumption and water energy consumption are family annual total income and family resident population, the factors affecting of household appliances energy consumption are total family income, family resident population and energy-saving equipment selection, the factors affecting of lighting energy consumption are building orientation and family resident population. Finally, finding the regression model of the annual total energy consumption. the cooking energy consumption, the hot water energy consumption, the household appliances energy consumption and the lighting energy consumption through multiple linear regression analysis.To establishment the standard architectural models based on the survey data and relevant design standards.Using the standard software architecture DesignBuilder to simulate the standard architectural models and to calculate the energy technology quotas in residential building which it has three piople.Finally, to calculate the total energy consumption in residential building which it has three piople.Determine the energy consumption limits of residential buildings is 3011.43kWh in Kunming thourgh the comparative analysis between the tatistical auota and the technical quota.
