Amongst the 13 large hydropower bases in planning in the country, the Yalong river basin hydropower reserves ranked third, with a total installed capacity of about 30 million kilowatts, annual output of about 150 billion KWH. The Yalong river trunk stream were planning level 21 hydropower station, according to the four stages of development strategic planning, Guandi hydropower station is the first put into operation of the large power station in the Yalong river’s second stage development. In recent years, our country devoted great efforts to promoting the water conservancy construction, increasing capital investment, promoting the rapid development of water resources and hydropower construction project. Hydropower project is large-scale, long period, high risk, project and complex organization structure project. As one of them, electrical and mechanical equipment installation works, is an important part of the project schedule management.This thesis analyzes the features and risk of the mechanical and electrical equipment installation project, based on the theory of project management and system network technology, mechanical and electrical installation contract schedule preparation area hydropower station, according to the schedule planning process to carry out the project WBS decomposition, project time limit estimation, arrangement and analysis of construction period and crossing graph, network planning and so on related work, and analyzes the contract schedule, exist the possibility of further optimization.According to the requirements of engineering power ahead of schedule, we use the schedule optimization method for Guandi hydropower station, mechanical and electrical equipment installation project schedule compression, through the site planning, location arrangement, process improvement, optimization, and increasing the means such as resources, formulated the generation ahead of schedule, mapped the schedule network diagram, optimize the generation schedule in advance, by identifying critical chain, eliminate the safety time, set of steps, map the new network ect., compiled the critical chain, analyses the optimization results, in combination with the practical situation of Guandi hydropower station for critical chain in the hydropower construction project, this paper analyzes the operability, for the critical chain theory used in hydropower station, mechanical and electrical equipment installation engineering provides a beneficial attempt.According to the result of optimization analysis, Our department has been clear about the mechanical and electrical equipment installation project progress control target, put forward the Guandi hydropower station mechanical and electrical equipment installation project progress control and schedule to ensure measures,ultimately achieve the goal of early generation of hydropower station.
