As in recent years, domestic hydropower station construction of boomingdevelopment, with hydropower station mechanical and electrical installationengineering related the owner, design, supervision, suppliers, contractors, and otherunits hand all have a large number of contract task, all kinds of resources are verynervous, to the industry’s progress control has brought new challenges.The traditional gantt chart method, network diagram method, the critical pathprogress establishment method after years of research and practice, and the simple, easyto understand, logical relationship clear, mission critical clear, progress adjustmentconvenience etc have been known by project management personnel, and in variousindustries in the process of project implementation has been a lot of use, but alsobecause of its always exists no consideration of the uncertainty of the task time limit fora project and did not consider the resources constraint the two defects, plus the factors-students syndrome and Parkinson’s law, this caused most of the project did notaccording to the critical path method formulated by the time limit for a project plan tofinish. And the key chain method just make up for the shortcomings of the critical pathmethod, eliminating the human safety time, effective shorten the project period, in theimplementation of the project in the course based on the buffer time and connectionbuffer time management, can better ensure project completion according to the originalplan. But the critical path method prepare project progress plan has already been inproject management personnel deeply rooted in the heart, especially in hydropowerstation mechanical and electrical installation engineering, there is almost no researchersused key chain method for mechanical and electrical installation of hydropower stationconstruction schedule planning and the critical chain method to carry on themanagement project.Aiming at this problem, this paper use critical chain method to mechanical andelectrical installation of hydropower station project schedule use were studied, and theGuanDe hydropower station with mechanical and electrical installation engineeringpractice, the specific analysis, as the key chain method in mechanical and electrical installation engineering of hydropower station by using puts forward practicalSuggestions and opinions. This paper studies for domestic hydropower stationmechanical and electrical installation engineering or similar project progressmanagement provides the beneficial reference.
