Research On Street Network Morphological Characteristics And Mechanism Of The Former Concessions District In Tianjin

The thesis studies on the questions of street network in the former concessions district of Tianjin.In the view of historical research in Tianjin Concession more but less of urban morphology and lack interpret the research present situation of Tianjin street network morphology in depth,the thesis try to reveal the street network characteristics and mechanism in Tianjin by the graph theory,and then explore the planning and mechanisms underlying the characteristics and mechanism,and provide a new perspective and ideas for understanding the urban fabric and evaluating the heritage.The thesis carries out research on both square grid and boundary.Firstly,I point out that the street network in Tianjin has a very complex shape characteristics and it is collaged by the planning structure and non-planning structure together.Then,I point out that the street network in the concessions is grid panning with the times color.Finally,I analyze three morphological characteristics of the grid,parallel or perpendicular to the direction of the street network,interior based on cross orthogonal intersection,mostly rectangular blocks.In the basis,from the direction of the street network,the type of intersections and the shape of neighborhoods,I research morphological characteristics of the square grid and boundary of the street network in the concessions district of Tianjin,and get conclusions respectively.Then,by contrast,I sum up that distribution law of the planning structure and non-planning structure of the street network in Tianjin.In the fourth chapter,by explaining the morphological characteristics in the special view,I found the complex planning mechanisms in the concessions behind the morphology.The thesis aims to reveal the intricate morphological characteristics of the street network in Tianjin.The characteristics can be explained by collage which is more complex,but not concessions boundaries,because of the history of Tianjin concessions multinational coexistence.And,this is the innovation point of this thesis.Based on the status of problematic heritage protection in contemporary urban development boom,the thesis hope to supplement the planning in modern cities and provide the basis for city overall protection in the perspective which the thesis provide.
