The piston ring is one of the most important parts of internal combustion engine,and its working condition directly affects the power,economy,reliability and durability of internal combustion engine.The study and analysis of the dynamics and lubrication characteristics of piston ring can provide the necessary basis for improving the lubrication performance of the piston ring-cylinder liner frictional pair.The main three contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Dynamic analysis of the second piston ring under different working conditionsA multi-cylinder four stroke internal combustion engine is taken as the research object,the dynamical analysis model of the second piston ring is established,and its main movements(such as the axial motion along the cylinder axis and the radial motion perpendicular to the cylinder axis in the ring groove)are analyzed.The change rules of the dynamic parameters of the piston ring in the radial and axial directions are calculated and analyzed under different working conditions.(2)The lubrication analysis of the second piston ring-cylinder liner frictional pair considering the effect of the piston ring dynamic.A multi-cylinder four stroke internal combustion engine is taken as the research object,the multidimensional rough mathematical model of the second piston ring-cylinder liner frictional pair is established under the condition of sufficient lubrication.In the lubrication analysis of piston ring,the average Reynolds equation is solved by using the finite difference method combined with the over relaxation iteration method.The lubrication performance under different working conditions is analyzed,and the lubrication performance of piston ring considering and not considering the dynamics of piston ring are analyzed and compared.(3)The dynamic and lubrication analysis of the second piston ring-cylinder liner frictional pair considering the effect of lubrication oil transportA multi-cylinder four stroke internal combustion engine is taken as the research object,simultaneous the equations of oil flow and the change of the control volume comprehensive,the flow mathematical model of lubricating oil between the second piston ring-cylinder liner frictional pair is established,and the amount of lubricant suspended on the cylinder wall after the piston ring movement of the upper stroke is taken as the amount of lubricant at the inlet of the piston ring of the next stroke.Thedynamics and lubrication characteristics of the second piston ring under different supply quantity of lubricating oil are analyzed and compared with those.
