Take the opportunity of the first water resources survey in China from 2010 to2012,in order to understand the present condition and raise the management level of the urban drainage facilities in Tianjin,a special investigation on urban drainage facilities at the center of Tianjin as optional project was carried out.By one year time,the investigation was completed at the end of 2012.Based on the results of the investigation,a geographical information system(GIS)named Tianjin drainage survey system was established and applied to the daily management of the Tianjin Drainage Management Office.In this paper,the process of the urban drainage facilities investigation in Tianjin was detailed,and on this basis,the situation of the existing drainage pipelines was analyzed,the quality grades of separated and combined sewers were evaluated.In view of extended service and aging of the drainage pipelines,some solving measures were put forward.Secondly,the drainage survey system which based on the investigation data was analyzed,including the software and hardware configuration,the layer setting and investigation database,etc.According to the needs in daily management of drainage pipe network,the attribute database of the drainage pipelines and ancillary facilities was designed,and combining with the management of the drainage facilities,the functions of drainage survey system were analyzed.Thirdly,according to the question of urban waterlogging that caused by rainfall in Tianjin,a rainstorm waterlogging model of Heping district was established by the application of SWMM model,which supported by the basic data and related functions of the drainage survey system;and then,several schemes for the urban waterlogging were proposed by the simulation analysis of rainfall and waterlogging.By comparison,the reasonable solution was determined.Finally,by further study of the drainage survey system in build-up process,system function and practical application,the scientificity and applicability of the system was evaluated,and the continuous improvement and upgrade suggestions were put forward,which could provide reference for the construction and application of GIS in the drainage facilities.
