The rational machining tool layout plays an important role in ensuring the good logistic transport in workshop,facilitating the operation of machines,improvement of availability of workshop space,upgrading the production efficiency and machining quality of parts and components as well as the safe and lean production in workshop.This article selects the gear wheel machining workshop of First Tractor Company Limited as the research object,with production output goal and type of product as the basis,the production organization and mode of layout for machine & equipment are ascertained,the systematic layout and design methods are utilized,all workshop sections,incl.machine tools,job position,blank part storage,post-heat treatment finished product area,inspection station,gangways,carriages for iron scraps and so on are all under rational planning and restructuring.Then the same type of functional equipments are integrated,the logistic transport routes of main products in the workshop are aligned,the machining in mixed line is changed into lean production mode on special line,the implementation result shows that the program is feasible and efficient,the technological process procedures are in good control,the process of material handling is shortened and convenient,the unneeded crossing or returning process is avoided,the reliable theoretical basis and methodological support for modern factory are provided.
