With the rapid growth of the national economy and the increasing of the number of motor vehicles,the construction of highway network in our country is constantly improving.However,with the increasing of social economic activities and the sphere of activity,the demand for services function of highway traffic facilities is becoming higher.At the same time,the lack of road traffic management gradually emerged.As the hardware facilities of road traffic management,the service level of road traffic signs is obviously lagging behind.But in the actual process of design and construction,road traffic signs are standard and improper application,the information selection and issuance of improper,and warning signs has lots of problems such as improper choice of location;At the theoretical level,especially the design of traffic signs lack of theoretical support system and is often called empirical design,which has seriously restricted the level of standardization.At present,the people-oriented has been written into the constitution of our country,the report of the 17 th People's Congress also required that the road traffic infrastructure should meet the requirements of the people's livelihood and provide more secure transportation services.Road traffic signs,as a means of transmitting traffic information to the road users and releasing traffic management measures,playing an important role in regulating the driver's behaviors and avoiding insecure driving.The research shows that the improvement of traffic signs are one of the best ways to minimize the investment and improve the traffic safety.Prior to this,adopting scientific and effective methods of traffic signs reasonable evaluation so as to improve the service level of traffic signs,so as to improve the safe service level of road network,to reduce the incidence of traffic accidents by improving the traffic facilities.This paper followed the existing evaluation index selection principle and the "Road traffic signs and markings(GB5768-2009)" and "road traffic signs and marks setting specification(JTG D82-2009)" and other relevant provisions,in the basis of the summary of evaluation index the establishment of the road network,road traffic signs setting effect evaluation index system.The index system included subjective aspect and objective aspect,according to the ability of information content and security information provided by signs information selection and management information symbol selection,symbol recognition and symbol layout setting four aspects.In the aspect of subjective evaluation,the paper designed the driver questionnaire according to the content of the index,and collected the evaluation data by means of questionnaire;In the aspect of objective evaluation,the paper consulted the relevant data and gived the calculation formula of each index.According to the characteristics of the index and the problems to be evaluated,the fuzzy evaluation method is used to evaluate the effect of road traffic signs.Based on the fuzzy evaluation theory,the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to establish the comprehensive evaluation model of road network traffic signs.Finally,the paper took the Yunnan Guizhou Sichuan's mountainous area highway network as an example,using the highway network traffic sign set previously established comprehensive evaluation model,the comprehensive evaluation of the Yunnan Guizhou Sichuan's mountain road traffic signs set effect,which proved the scientific theory and the mathematical model presented in this paper.
