Research On The Protection And Development Of Traditional Villages And Houses Based On Cultural Geography

At present,the study of traditional villages and houses,which only focused on a single subject in the past,has developed into a comprehensive study which stretches its attention to various subjects.It studies and analyzes the traditional villages from a new perspective which employs such methods as filed research,record collating,mutual comparison,systematic analysis as well as multidiscipline.Its analysis can improve the rationality of research and the accuracy of subjective ideas of researchers.At the same time,for the reason that the study of traditional villages and cultural geography necessitates field investigation,recording and interviewing,the multidisciplinary and comprehensive study renders the practical study a higher feasibility.Taking the 36 traditional villages in Aba prefecture,Sichuan province as the research object,this paper aims to obtain the basic information of traditional villages and houses through a lot of literature reading and field research.Meanwhile,based on the field investigation and the analysis of geography,history and cultural documentaries of Aba prefecture,this paper demonstrates that how the culture and geography affect the present situation of the traditional villages and houses in Aba and provides reference for the protection and development of the traditional villages and houses in Aba.Through the analysis of the cultural and geographical background of the traditional villages and houses in Aba,the relationship between the traditional village sites and the natural and human geographical environment can be obtained.In addition,the human geographical characteristics as well as the historical and cultural connotation of the traditional residential buildings can also be revealed.What’s more,based on the summary of the current situation of the pretention and development of the traditional villages in Aba,this paper starts its specific micro-research on the protection and development of traditional villages from the perspective of cultural geography by citing Guazizhai,a valley situated in Hei shui county,Aba prefecture as an example.
