| The EPC general contracting mode is gradually developing into the mainstream in the construction industry.Compared with the traditional model,the risk for general contractor is significantly increased in this mode.The paper makes an EPC decoration general contracting project of ZJ Company as the research object,and analyzes and summarizes the main risks and the causes faced by the general contractor of this project,in order to provide reference of the risk management for this company and other architectural decoration general contracting project.The paper makes a comprehensive summary and analysis for the main risk of this project and its causes through the interview of the professional principal in this project management department and the questionnaire for internal staff of this project.According to the risk nature,the main risk is divided into design risk,bidding risk,contract risk,construction risk,purchasing risk,capital risk,etc.The specific risk factors are detailed analyzed such as design and communication with each professional department,design out of construction,nonstandard design,not optimization enough of the design solution,not detailed tender drawings,the general contractor’s low price in winning bidding,subcontractor’s low price in winning bidding,the two-sided of the fixed general price contract model,uncertainty of the general contract,the use of new technologies and technologies,safety factors,project management team capability,the risk in the purchasing process,increased transport costs due to the geographic location,uncertainty of the material price and source,the integrity risk of purchasing links,frequent advanced payment problem,a trial of the "to replace the business tax with a value-added tax " policy,climate factors,the administrative area of the project,etc.This paper also develops the risk response measures from the aspects of project design management,contract management,construction management,purchasing management and fund management. |
