The Research Of Styling Of Pure Electric Vehicle Based On Hub Motor Driving

In current situation of worse energy problem and environment,pure electric vehicle has gotten a rapid development because it meets the requirement of sustainable development.Among the vehicles driven by new energy,pure electric vehicles are high-profile due to many advantages,such as lower noise,zero release,high flexibility of design,light weight and so forth.In the e-vehicle family,those based on hub motor driving is leading the way.Hub motor driving has many unique features,such as compact structure,independent driving,easily available electric control,highly integration of power system and so on,which provide outstanding advantages for it among driving methods.With the improvement and development of techniques,hub motor driving will become a mainstream feature of future vehicle,due to it's unique driving and function.Hub motor driving has brought about a huge change for vehicle's power system,and at the same time,it offers a whole new train of thought for package.As a result,finding the basic styling design specifications based on hub motor driving and seeking the new design breakthrough by these specifications has become an important research project.The objective aim of this thesis is to pursue the breakthrough of styling design of pure electric vehicle based on hub motor driving.The method of this research starts from analyzing the theory and development of hub motor driving,taking the limiting conditions and advantages as the entry point,to finding the specification of vehicle styling design based on this limiting conditions and breakthrough of based on both advantages and new techniques.Then we got the conclusion that the styling design is diversified and also facing with the problem of homogenization.Shape of wheel rim and automobile face should meet the need of heat dissipation and tightness of electric machines.Pure electric vehicle based on hub motor driving is able to get a whole new package,as a result,it's styling design can be more flexibly and freely.In the last part of this thesis,it offers a pure e-vehicle styling design driven by hub motor based on the Car Styling Design Practice Project supported by SAE,which also combines the styling design regulations and design freedom.This design will cover a complete styling design process-sketch design,tap drawing design and clay model design.In the design process,the vehicle styling is optimized by the acquired regulations.
