Analysis On University Students' Use Pattern And Environmental Preference Of Campus Green Space

University students are an exceptional gathering of individuals that are bearing a basic temporary period in which they are going from immaturity to adulthood and can be a standout amongst the most upsetting circumstances in a man's life.In this period,university students may face an array of environmental,academic,interpersonal and financial challenges,such challenges may go beyond students' resources and capacity to effectively cope,leading to behavioral struggles,and an increase in physical and mental health issues.Green spaces are an integral component of university campuses and as an everyday physical environment may provide students with a variety of mental,physical and social benefits,and have an important impact on education quality and reputation,through the overall planning layout,space structure and construction of environmental landscape.How to build a better spatial environment of campus green space is a common concern currently.This study reviewed the literatures on factors effect green space's using,using motivation of public green spaces and planning of green spaces on campus,to explore the factors which effect university students to use green spaces by investigating the use pattern of university students with Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University students as research object.This investigation summarized the character of frequency,distance,aim and reasons for using,and relevance of demographic characteristics and use pattern.Based on the investigation,this study tries to design a "factors effect university students' use of campus green space" hypothetical model which contains of 4 latent variables and 15 observed variables by combining behavioral intention,satisfaction theory,environmental preference theory and motivation theory.Next,this study choice the students from 8 universities in Fuzhou as empirical data collection base,to testify the reliability and validity of hypothetical model,reveal the action mechanism among environmental preference,motivation,satisfaction and behavioral intention,and the effectiveness which observed variables reflect to latent variables.Eventually,according to the empirical researches,this paper puts forward some suggestions in five perspectives,spatial distribution,spatial division,spatial content,educational function and participation of university students,which can provide theoretical guidance and extensive practical value for further design and development of campus green space.
