With the high development of automation and intellectualization of automobile,electronic control techniques used in the vehicle engine have increased year-by-year,so the high requirements for automobile maintenance personnel are brought forward.At present,those maintenance personnel of motor repair enterprises chose simple but rude way to replace the parts to fix those problem vehicle in the vast majority of cases,that is replacing the suspicious parts and if the fault is still ruled out it will continuously change those related parts until the fault disappear.While in many cases,maintenance personnel do not know exactly the cause of the problem but only expel the troubleshooting by replacing some parts so to repair the car.Then the same vehicle failure appeared again and again in some cases,the car been repaired many times in a short period with the same part been replaced repeatedly,it is the symptoms and not the illness which is not completely ruled out the fault.That is seriously causing the fall of maintenance enterprises maintenance service quality,and also customer unsatisfied,even them been lost.To whom is the author I think that is objectively due to the limitation of professional knowledge structure of the maintenance personnel who failed to learn how to analyze the data flow and waveform in time.So when the vehicle troubleshooting comes to them have no chose but to replace the part.The data flow analysis and waveform analysis in this article have been put forward and applied to the research of fault diagnosis of automotive electronic control system in order to deal with such problems,hopefully these methods will provide certain study reference for maintenance personnel.It's a new type of fault diagnosis technology for EFI engine that to combine waveform analysis with data flow analysis to judge the problem of electronic engine,with high diagnostic accuracy and efficiency,and it is the primary trends for automobile engine fault diagnosis technology currently and in the future.In this article the VW MAGTON 1.8 T engine and the BYD F3 engine have been used as the object of experimental research to find out a rapid judge scheme of the engine fault diagnosis under the method that ECS fault diagnosis which based on waveform analysis and data flow analysis.And the way of experiment is to set the fault in automobile ECS of its related ECM and related control line combining with the causes of common problems and common parts,and then ruled the fault out.So to build a comprehensive experiment platform which consists of the engine,Bosch KT600 decoder(oscilloscope function),the common oscilloscope UTD2052 CL,X431-fault diagnosis instrument,engine integrated analyzer and universal.Respectively applied the waveform diagnostic method and data flow diagnostic method to sensors,actuators and ignition system for experiment research of fault diagnosis,to figure out the rules among the engine fault,diagnosis parameter and the waveform changes,and also find out the advantages and disadvantages of both waveform diagnosis and data flow diagnosis.The way which combined the waveform diagnosis and data flow diagnosis to have a research of those difficult problems of electronic engine was found based on the above study,and in this paper a final research summaries about waveform diagnosis and data flow diagnosis for determining electronic engine related issues was given.Finally,the conclusion about some ways to increase the efficiency and accuracy of fault diagnosis and regulation was drawn according to the experiment research.
