Along with the progress and development of the Era. The motor vehicle has become an important tool for people to travel. The ascension of motor vehicle speed and the construct of the high way have been developed constantly. At the same time, traffic accident caused by tire burst is serious. The inner support is mounted on the standard rim. It can't influence the vehicle performance in normal pressure and can be used to protect the vehicle's safety when airless. The inner support will support car-body load, make sure vehicle still operate longer distance. It can be installed on various types of rim according to the needs. Based on the inner support run-flat tire for coach ,the research has been conducted as follows:Firstly, the research status of run-flat tire have been introduced. The coach with 9R22.5 tires and 22.×6.75 rim have been selected according to standard tire and rim design criterion and size requirements. The parameters of inner support have been provided include material,size rang,block number and connection between the block based on the contour of standard rim,changes in the tire cavity,force status and ease of disassembly. Then the model of the inner support has been established based on initial parameters.Secondly, The largest part of the inner support force and deformation trend was identified by preliminary static analysis of finite element analysis software ANSYS.The removing part of the material have been obtained though topology optimization of Workbench.The key parameters affecting the intensity of inner support and the final structure have been identified by static analysis.The run-flat tire is composed by mounting the inner support on the rim. The run-flat tire have been analysised under the two condions include impact load and braking force. It satisfies strength and stiffness requirements.Finally, the movement of inner support have been simulated under tow conditions by using dynamic finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Include the simulation of run-flat tire falling to highway which have cross or longitudinal slope and colliding speed control humps . It is proved that the inner support can bear the car body load reliably. The effect of strength of inner support by speed control humps have been obtained.
