With the development of auto industry and transportation, the traffic accidentcaused by tire fault is becoming more and more frequency. Especially the tire burstwill lead to the most serious accident and property loss, threatening people’s life.People wish a kind of run-flat tire could solve this problem, so many tiremanufacturers are developing all kinds of run-flat tires, among them inner supportrun-flat tire is the most competitive. Double inner-ring support is made up of twosupport rings, it’s the further development of single inner support. It has goodperformance, with improving the steering stability of automobile after tire burst andreducing friction and quantity of heat from flat tire. It also can improve the vehicle’srunning flat ability.This paper firstly simulates the tire burst of a motor coach with CarSim,analyzing the reasons of traffic accident caused by tire burst. It also analyses the keyeffect of double inner-ring support after tire burst, and demonstrate it’s workingprinciple. The integral section structure of inner support is based on the rim’ssection structure and tire’s section structure of motor coach, the structure of innerring and outer ring are base on rolling relationship of them,3D model is made byUG NX6.0. Aimed at the defect of structure is too heavy, force analysis is made tooptimize it by finite-element analysis. The modal analysis is done after that, it willabstract modal frequency and modal shape of inner support. Then it will analyze theiMPact of modal frequency to vehicle and ensure the support will not resonate withtire and rim. Inner support will generate lots of heat unavoidably with the vehicle’stravelling, this paper will do thermal analysis to it, and then analyses temperatureload’s influence to it.At last, this paper trial-produces the inner support and carry on vehicle trial onmotor coach. And the results indicate that, the tire with inner support will improvethe steering stability and control ability of vehicle after tire burst, and it will avoidthe traffic accident from happening.
