As commercial real-estate industry flourishes,the scale of new commercial buildings becomes increasingly larger and business forms are on the rise;proposing new demands and challenges for the planning of buildings’ plane layout.Due to the significance of customer flow,the inner traffic flow line plays an important role in increasing revenue and improving consumer experience.In this paper,a set of comprehensive scientific methods for assessment under the theoretical frameworks of space syntax together with topology network analysis theory will be established.Using quantitative indexes to describe and analyze the inner traffic flow line network,the assessment methods assume to provide references for the inner traffic flow line planning,store position arrangement and operation work.In this paper,both subjective and objective assessments are employed for evaluating the inner traffic flow line network.Based on the theoretical results of space syntax and topology network analysis,the objective assessment aims to calculate the site indexes such as connectivity values,control values,depth values,integration values,choice values;as well as the whole network indexes such as intelligibility values.Compared with the indexes of social network analysis like density,centrality and centralization,such indexes are then expected to be integrated into an assessment system,which includes eight indexes that present quantitative descriptions to the spatial relationship.Through investigating methods of questionnaire and field survey,the subjective assessment intends to acquire information about customers’consumption habits,behavioral preferences,spatial experience;thereby figuring out some significant factors that affect customers,experience and feelings.The corresponding relationship between subjective assessment factors and the objective ones enables the paper to formulate a relatively integrated assessment method for analyzing and evaluating the inner traffic flow line planning of large-scale commercial buildings.By combining the in-depth study of a commercial case-Hangzhou Jinsha Paradise Walk,the paper analyzes and assesses its diverse inner flow line networks and offers suggestions for further optimization.
