Research On Comprehensive Transportation Infrastructure Planning Of Yinchuan City

The transportation infrastructure are the key and foundation of regional survival and development and the indispensable part of regional economic development.In recent years,with the advancement of Ningxia Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone,the urban construction,industrial status and urbanization development of Yinchuan City face profound changes which impose new requirements on the transportation system of Yinchuan City.Although great progresses have been made in the transportation network construction of Yinchuan City,the layout of transport infrastructures,capacity and service level remain unsatisfactory.Thus,it is significant to study and deploy the urban transport infrastructures of Yinchuan City in the context of current status of social economic development,which play an important role in implementing the planning of Ningxia Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone and meet the requirements for constructing Yinchuan comprehensive bonded area,Binhe New District,Ningdong energy and chemical industry base.Regarding to this purpose,based on the social economic status quo and traffic forecast,this research proposes the goal,framework,methodology,schemes,construction tasks and recommendations for the transport infrastructures layout of Yinchuan City under the theories of regional development and transportation planning.The contents of this research are as follows:Firstly,the research methodology is developed based on the theory of geographical economics and the context of this study;Secondly,worldwide practices and experiences are summarized from the research status quo of transport development,focusing on strategic system,regional economic development,coordinated development of different transport means;Thirdly,based on the trend analysis of social economic and transportation development and existing problems,traffic demand forecasting is conducted on Yinchuan City,following with the traffic distribution on major traffic corridors.Fourthly,the development goal and methodology of transport infrastructures in Yinchuan City are proposed based on the strategic positioning;Lastly,the layout schemes of transport infrastructures are proposed on the overall network and each transportation corridors.In this research,the urban transport infrastructure planning model and theories are studied and the growth pole and point-axis theories are applied in the transport infrastructure planning of Yinchuan City.The result of this research is hopeful to provide guidance for transport infrastructure planning.
