Energy is the main driving force of the development of human society.With the development of industrial energy demand and the increasing depletion of fossil fuels,energy problems become increasingly serious.Because of its clean and sustainable characteristics,wind power has developed rapidly in recent years and become the most important renewable energy developing model in various countries.However,the wind power has the characteristics of randomness and volatility.With the increase of unit capacity,how to design the controller of wind turbine to improve the wind turbine power and reduce the load of wind turbine becomes the main problem facing the development of wind turbine.In this paper,setting 3MW direct drive wind turbine as an example,design wind turbine gain scheduling controller based on the traditional PI constant gain control.First,the linear model of the wind turbine is deduced at the specific working point.The parameters of variable speed control of wind turbine are designed by MATLAB and the closed loop control model of the is built to verif y the rationality of the control parameters.Then design wind turbine state switching logic.Make simulation to compare gain scheduling wind turbine controller and the traditional PI wind turbine controller under constant wind and turbulence wind conditions.In order to study the controlling effect for generator power of gain scheduling controller furthermore,simulate under turbulence of different wind speeds to calculate the power.T he wind speed probability function is established based on the measured wind data of a certain wind farm to compare the annual power generation between the two controllers.The simulation results shows that the traditional PI controller and the gain scheduling controller have the same control effect under the constant wind con dition.But under turbulence wind condition,the wind turbine power under the control of gain scheduling controller is larger than that of the traditional PI controller.Besides that,the vibration of the generator power and generator speed of the gain scheduling controller is much smaller than that of the PI controller,which increases the unit power and reduces the fatigue load of the drive train.The annual power generation results based on actual wind data shows that the annual power generation of 3MW direct-drive wind turbine under the control of gain scheduling controller increases 14655.31 KWh compared with the traditional PI controller.
