Communication network as the basis support platform of the smart substation,it plays an important role in ensuring the safe operation and modern management of the smart substation.The traditional ethernet network technology has been unable to meet the requirements of smart substation network centralized control,dynamic allocation of resources and considerable flow control.SDN(Software Defined Network),the most popular and most promising network technology,is decoupled from the control plane and the data plane of the network equipment,realizing the network centralized control,virtualization,flow control,Qo S guarantee and fast fault diagnoses etc.SDN technology can realize the adaptive configuration of existing smart substation network station,network equipment and flow active monitoring,change the low efficiency situation of the existing network operation management and improve the reliability of communication network in smart substation.The main research work of this paper is as follows:Fisrt,designed the structure of smart substation communication network based on SDN,analysed their the realization principle,application technology,function module and workflows,realized the dynamic and real-time supervision of the smart substation communication network.The simulation experiment is designed to test the network link loss rate and to resist the network storm.The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the SDN technology which be applied to the smart substation communication network management.Second,analyzed the effect of SDN controller deployment on network reliability,putted forward the clustering based controller placement algorithm,greedy controller placement algorithm and random controller placement algorithmanaly.Simulation results show that the clustering based controller placement algorithm is superior to the other two algorithms in improving the reliability of the communication network.At the end of this paper,the work of this paper is summarized and prospects,hope that with the further work of the study,can design a more powerful and perfect application services to samrt substation communication network.
