With the acclerration of urbanization,urban population expansion,as well as the popularity of private cars,especially to urban traffic in the city center,unpretended pressure has been bought.Traffic congestion,environment pollution,security incidents occur frequently.On the other hand,urban rail transit as a large volume,accurate time and high speed public transport,is to develop in a number of cities of our country.Combined with the two cases,a new mode of private transport transfering to public transport occur-P+R travel.P+R travel in our country in recent years has been the rise of P+R parking lot to be vigorously promoted by the government,but the existing P+R parking lots is still a gap in terms of the ones in foreign countries.The original “park-and-ride system(P+R)”does not react to the complexity and diversity of the traffic behavior and non-traffic behavior in park and ride.Therefore,it is necessary to put forward of the“park-and-ride spatial system”concept.This paper analyzes the park-and-ride special system aboad to make clear the concept of“park-and-ride spatial system”,which is a reference for the optimization of parking space around the domestic rail transit station.First of all,from the perspective of refinement urban design,a special kind of urban space-the influence domain of the the rail transit site and the behavior mode which can show the complexity and diversity of the connection behavior defined by the walking distance,thus determine the space range and behavior of the park-and-ride spatial system.According to the new tools of the dynamic simulation of the people and vehicles,we analyze,validate and use the classification matrix of The Link/Space to build,select and evaluate the urban spatial types,and then get the important design points through the analysis of several typical cases at home and abroad.Finally,using these design points to park-and-ride spatial system around Jinyu station of Chongqing rail transit.This paper hops to use the methods and results above for the park-and-ride spatial system been built.
