The reservoir is an important part of flood prevention system and the important water conservancy project regullating water resources. Tongshugou reservoir is a small type reservoir that has the comprehensive benefits, including flood control, irrigation,water supply and aquaculture. Due to the construction machinery and construction level, tongshugou reservoir produces many problems affecting the safe operation, the optimization design of the reinforcement is of important practical value for the tongshugou reservoir.Based on the basis of related literature about reservoir and the dam zone reinforcement, through comprehensive analysis, research of survey and design,construction, quality inspection. This paper obtained the following results:(1)For the higher saturation line of seepage calculation and less minimum safety coefficient of the downstream dam slope under different conditions, it is necessary to take measures of the dam crest road widening, wave screen heightening, the slope's reinforcement and the reinforcement of slope drainage. These increase the security and stability of dam. At the same time, planting grass is adopted to increase the appreciation of the dam.(2)For the lager damage of water discharge buildings and the loss of drain water capacity, the budilings of water discharge are designed and optimized.Through the comparison of the scheme, he scheme of water lying tube newly constructed was adopted, the scheme can satisfy the reliable operation, simple structure, onvenient construction, the lower quantity of engineering and lower cost of engineering. This can solve the destruction of the water building and satisfy the daily operation of the reservoir.(3)For the more spillway curvy and variable slope of backplane, the adverse drainage condition,the damaged discharge chute and lack of facilities that dissipate energy and prevent impingement, the curve relationship is optimized between the level of reservoir and the discharge of the overflow weir combined with the results of calculation at the reservoir flood regulating. Through the comparison of scheme, the best scheme is chosen at the reformation of the line practical weir, the bottom lining of discharge chute and the facilities that dissipate energy and prevent impingement, these the increase the discharge capacity of the reservoir greatly.(4) The economic internal rate of return of this project is 12.60% higher than the social discount rate of 8%, the economic net present value of 1.0636 million yuan is greater than zero, the economic cost ratio is greater than 1.30, so the project is economically reasonable, economic benefits are significant.Through the analysis and evaluation of the relevant data of the final economic benefit index, the dam seepage control technology has good effect and the economic benefit is remarkable, so that the dangerous reservoir is rejuvenated.
