Research On Open Space In Wushan Campus Of South China University Of Technology Based On The Image And Evaluation

As the strategy of invigorating the country through science,technology and education carrying out,the higher education in China has developed fast and the quantity and scale of campus havegrown rapidly.Nowadays,the campus plan and the architecture design become more and more perfect,and it's a deeper pursuit to create the better open space in the campus.The open space can not only organize the buildings and improve the students' physical and mental health,but also reflect the university's history and spirit and form a visiting card of the campus.The paper based on the theory of the image of the city and Post Occupancy Evaluation and does research on the imaginability and environment quality evaluation in the Wushan campus of SCUT.During the research I mainly used the documentation method,field investigation method,Delphi method,questionnaires method and graphic analysis method.Step 1:Use the documentation method and field investigation method to study and compare the open space in the foreign campus and internal campus,and explain the behavior,character and meaning of the open space.Then I classified the open space into several types and gave the appropriate examples.Step 2:Use the documentation method to study the image of the city theory and POE theory,arranged the developing history and current status of these two theories,summarized the emphasis and the limitations of the image of the city theory,and concluded the research technique and the operating steps of POE study.This part can form the theoretical foundation of the case analysis behind.Step 3:according to the front theoretical foundation I set up a framework to research the the imaginability and environment quality evaluation in the Wushan campus of SCUT,and explicated the related research content and technique.Step 4:Do the concrete research in the Wushan campus of SCUT.I used the field investigation method to find out the current open space in the campus and pick up 36 places as specific object,and analyze the imaginability and environment quality evaluation according to the research frameworks.Then I summarized the places' optimal demand by the perceptual matrix.Step 5:Choose the Wutai mountain road and south gate plaza as typical cases in the fourth quadrant of the perceptual matrix to do the deeper research,analyze their current advantages and disadvantages,and finally give some optimization suggestions to them.Step 6:On the base of the former analyses,organize the related argument and sumarize the advantages and disadvantages in the Wushan Campus of SCUT,and propose the optimization strategy.
