Cemetery is a place for people to burying and recalling the departed.At the same time,it is the most important part of the urban landscape.there are many differences between the urban cemetery landscape and other features of urban landscape.it has social function,ecological function and spiritual value.cemetery is not only the place to burying and missing,but also a bearing of the regional cultural,history and the spirit of the dead.In recent years.With the development of modern society and increasing change of people’s awareness.As the accelerating of urbanization,There are many issues need to be solved,such as the increasing aging population,the pollution of the urban environment,the resourcing scarcity,etc.More and more people are paying attention to the death.Today,There are many problems of the city cemetery,such as Unreasonable use of land resources,occupy cultivated land,the damage of environmental,lack of culture.So,The landscape planning design of modern city cemetery needs to be researched and improved immediately.The development of Chinese traditional funeral culture over thousands years,Not only need to led the dead rest in peace,but also make the people feel comfortable.With a long history and profound cultural connotation,the cemetery has reflected people’s outlook on life.Especially reflected on people’s sacrifice activities.Therefore,in the cemetery landscape designing,How to create the space that reflect the solemn atmosphere is also needs to be concerned when we designing.In this paper,Studying the theory of the traditional Chinese funeral culture,and get the principle of the cemetery landscape design.At the same time combine with the landscape design project of the the Feng Zheng Yuan Cemetery.From the long history of the funeral culture,expound the design concept and the characteristics of the traditional funeral culture.Making the landscape space of the cemetery conform the sacrifice activities of the people and building the environment full of the culture cemetery and humanistic.
