The Evaluation System And Optimization Strategies Of Traditional Settlement Space In Dukezong Under The Post-disaster Reconstruction

Those fragile and vulnerable towns with time-honored history and local culture usually cannot survive from natural and man-made disasters in China.Most domestic studies on post-disaster reconstruction adopt perspectives from sociology,economics and urban planning,while less attention is channeled to the evaluation systems on the reconstruction environment of post-disaster traditional settlement space.Taking Dukezong as the research object,this thesis explores the feasibility of the recovering traditional settlements space against the background of its application of national historical and cultural towns the fire on January 1,2014.This paper attempts to guide the conservation and development of this town,propose suggestions in this regard,and provide references for other renowned historical and cultural towns’ development,upgrading as well as post-disaster reconstruction.This essay summarizes literatures on the protection of traditional settlements space,self-organization theory and the combination of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAHP)and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation(FCE)to define the study object,theoretical frameworks and study methods.Based on the author’s multi-year life experience in Dukezong and many field researches in different years,this thesis summarizes its evolution and development rules,comparison before and after the fire,and implementation of unified planning and independent construction policy.Adopting FAHP and FCE methods,this thesis collects data of original residents’ comprehensive evaluation on the existing environment.With evaluation results,this thesis analyzes problems facing its existing environment,puts forward optimization principles and measurements for this town and summarizes reconstruction experience of famous historical and cultural towns.This study demonstrates that self-organizing theory can effectively explain the historical evolution and development process of Dukezong.Serving as theory evidence,it can serve for conservation other old towns.The FAHP-FCE method suits the scenario of evaluating existing environment of post-disaster construction nicely.The unified planning independent construction has played an important role in the course of posy-disaster reconstruction of Dukezong.The opatimation of its esixiting enrionemnt should consist of two parts: tangible and intangible and they are regional characteristics restoration,space form rehspaing,function layout adjustment,security implementation and management and operation optimization.
