Study On The Evolution Of Architectural Morphology Of University Campuses In Chengdu And Chongqing

The inheritance and development of university culture is closely connected with the campus construction,which reflects its history,scale as well as its cultural connotation.Under the context of economic globalization and the impact of western cultures and the intrinsic value of university campus being more profitable and materialized,and the ignorance of the importance of the regional and traditional culture in the campus construction,therefore,this paper chooses Chengdu and Chongqing,both of these two cities have long history and excellent learning tradition,as for the research objective.It is based on the evolution of architectural form of university campus in Chengdu and Chongqing to analyze their development process of their architecture.By analyzing and summarizing some typical examples,the author hopes to provide some useful suggestions for the development of the architectural form of university in these two areas.The precondition of the development of education lies in the social progress.Meanwhile,it gives some impetus to the social development accordingly.Compared with some other types of architecture,the educational architecture can be more linked with the social politics and economy.Therefore,on the basis of using the literature methodology,comparison research methods and investigation research,the architectural examples of university in Chengdu and Chongqing will be divided into four stages,including the ancient academy,the period of the Republic of China,from the initial stage of New China to the early and later stage of Reform and Opening Up,aiming to make a clarification on the historical development of the university in Chengdu and Chongqing.Based on this,the study of this typical architectural form of university campuses in Chengdu and Chongqing is divided into two aspects,including the evolution of architectural style and architectural feature,and it will be analyzed in detail and demonstrated by examples respectively.Among them,the construction style of university campuses is divided into four types,including traditional style of academy,combination style between China and western counties,imitation of western style and modern style.The academy building can be called the local architecture,which reflects its graceful feature and natural beauty.With the development of western architectural culture spreading in Chengdu and Chongqing,the combination of architectural culturebetween China and western counties was gradually emerged in university campuses,which shows a kind of harmony and also its features vividly.Since the Reform and Opening up,a number of modern buildings in university campuses have risen sharply in Chengdu and Chongqing,while it tends to be more extensive,less refined and lack of traditional and regional architecture culture.Secondly,the paper analyzes and sums up from three aspects about the architectural features about typical examples,including architectural space form,architectural model characteristics and construction patterns,which refine the evolution of architectural style.Finally,by expatiating the concept and significance of architectural design in Sichuan Fine Art Institute,it indicates that the context of historical heritage was deeply considered into the campus architecture,and was integrated with historical massiveness and thickness.To show inheritance to traditional culture and add specific regional cultural characteristics and creates college architectures with emotional resonance,this paper aims to provide some instructive access for the construction of future university buildings in Chengdu and Chongqing.
