The Research Of The Lost Space And Its Forms In Small Towns

Along with the process of the rapid development of China's urbanization urban and rural integration,copying the urban design of big cities,using foreign city planning and design theories,are appearing while the small towns in China are developing,which makes it hard to form the orderly macroscopic space and microcosmic space,rather than keep the humanized space scale and space characteristic in small towns,where are appeared to be lack of the overall landscape,characteristics and functions in different level.So the research starts with the concept of “lost space”,analyzing the particularities of space forms of small towns in China,in which way to put forward the concept of “lost space” of China's small town.Then,from this point of view,which leads us to analyze and study the problems of space forms in China 's small towns,positive solutions can be put forward.Paper is divided into 4 parts:The 1st part is Chap.1,2.This chapter out lines the research background and significance of the dissertation,domestic and international research status,and the research methods of the dissertation,present s research framework of paper,gives definitions for relevant concepts.The 2nd part is chap.3.In this chapter,on the basis of status investigation and the support of theories,firstly it is put forward that human cognition influences the formation of small town s' space form.Secondly analyze the macroscopic space and microcosmic space particularities of historical small towns and modern small towns,including their “lost space” characteristics and forms.The 3rd part is the chap.4.This chapter proposes three main principles to solve the problems of small towns ' lost-space and its forms.And i n the light of historical small towns and modern small towns ' “lost-space” characteristics,some solutions are put forward,one of which is let the sustainable development to be the basis of the space development of small towns,the other one is using traditional Chinese,foreign urban design theories two kinds of theories,and multidisciplinary collaboration as a means to solve the problem of “lost space”.The 4th part is the chap.5.This chapter summarizes the three parts before,and through the achievement puts forward the outlook of the development of small towns' space in China.
