Protection And Development Of Ningbo City Gate Ruins Conceptual Design

This project takes Ningbo ancient city gate relics as the research object.Through literature research,the paper applies comparative illustration on the relic protection methods domestically and internationally.With the relic protection principles of partial recovery exhibition,authentic recovery exhibition and cultural memorial exhibition,surrounding environment exhibition,etc.and the theoretical basis of Ningbo historical cultural city protection plan,this paper defines and interprets the concepts of ancient city gate relic protection.This project demonstrates the feasibility of developing and protecting the ancient city gate relics,discusses the development trend of its development and regeneration,and sums up the starting points of protection,development and designs of city relics with the cases of Ningbo Changchun Gate and Heyi Gate.Finally,this paper presents the conceptual blue print of “Gate Door Relics Park”,“Wengcheng Cultural Museum” and its surrounding environment as the final practice results of this graduation project.
