Research On The Application Of VR Technology On The Design Method Of Color Vision-Based Product Appearance

This paper is a in-depth study based on the tutor's research.After a long period of practice and research,my tutor found a phenomenon that nowadys product design has been using the "Shaped Coloring" method."Shaped Coloring" means when designing the appearance of products,the color is "filled" into the form of reserved space,just as accessories."Shaped Coloring" design method played an important role in the early stages of product design,maded a great contribution to the improvement of people's lives,but it also formed a "homogenization",which caused difficulting when designing new product appearance.To changing the status,avoiding the product appearance trapped into the appearance of the vortex of homogenization,on the basis of the analysis of the existing problems in the design,the author's tutor designed the "Design Method of Color Vision-Based Product Appearance".Using the Design Method of Color Vision-Based Product Appearance,the designer first conceive to the color visual effects meeting the function,structure and other requirements,and then according to it to build the three-dimensional form,finally exploring the integrated effect of the color and shape to obtain the harmony of appearance on the color and shape.The design method can break through the limitations of "Shaped Coloring" and design more innovative,more emotional product image.Among the design method,the "color concept" is one of the core tasks,when designers using commonly performance tools such as sketch to conceive it,demanded they have a strong sense of color and space imagination,making design be difficult.This study is focus on the problem,trying to explore the possibility of using VR technology assisted conceiving the color visual effects.VR technology is known for immersive experience and has been applied in business,education,and training.In 2016,the birth of Tilt Brush brought it into the creative field.The author had used this software conducting product design practice,found that it can improve the quality and efficiency of color concept,facilitating the application and promotion of applied to the Design Method ofColor Vision-Based Product Appearance,and providing new methods and means for the design.
